Although our server was a bit slow this time. Took too long to refill and get our order taken. The Cobb salad is standard fare. I was trying to be healthy. It has plenty of mushrooms and tomato and lettuce. Could use a bit more bacon. Overall a good Cobb. Now the turkey sandwich is a go-to for wifey every time we come here. Its super tasty turkey breast and cranberries remind her of post-Thanksgiving leftover sandwiches.”

“Couldn't decide what to eat so we drove around looking for something new. Found this place on Google Maps and boy were we happy we did. The Hawaiian burger was phenomenal and The Mamba was incredible too. Fries were cooked perfectly. The only bummer was that we had to pay for a side of ranch, but I guess that's to be expected these days. Ketchup was free, so that was a win. We will be back for sure.”

I thought the salsa tasted a bit like ketchup but my wife didn't really think that but agreed not the best she has had. The House Margarita was decent. the rice was good, the beans were OK but nothing special. my wife had a bean and cheese burrito smothered in red sauce and it was decent she said but she likes our normal spot better. I had a shredded beef taco which was pretty good, chille relleno which was very good and a cheese Enchilada with mole sauce. I have had alot of mole at many restaurants and I will say this one is my least favorite. it had too much chili powder or some spice I couldn't put my finger on. maybe it was not the best batch they have ever made but in the end I think there are better spots to eat at at. the bonus here is that if you have kids they have a bunch of things on the menu brunch menu including pancakes and various dishes to keep people happy.”

“We used to really enjoy coming here. Then after covid they started closing at 8:00 on a weekend which I thought interesting. The food can be good but a lot of times it’s not hot. A previous visit the food was cold so we asked them to heat it up. 15 minutes later we asked about it and they had forgotten about it. They didn’t even offer a pastry as an apology. We decided to give them another shot a year later and it was a little better. The requested items that we wanted served hot were not so we had to wait for them to hear it up. This place could be good but it’s alright. Plus the carpet is really worn and old and needs to be replaced. They don’t seem to really pay attention to the details.”

“I ordered bbq chicken kebab yesterday. The lady wears a gloves while preparing the food. I am not sure that she wears the gloves to protect her hands or for customer safety. She did BBQ while wearing it and same time pick up the salad from container in ref. with gloves and handling everything else with same gloves. Is it how to wear a same gloves for whole day. Besides I bought a Sadaf kosher Litte pickles. It was spoiled and smelled. I came back this afternoon to the store and told the owner. He said he is not taking it back. Call Sadat. I told him why I call Sadaf, I bought from you. He said they leave products here for sale, not his problem. I said ok, wonderful service I told him that I am not coming back here anymore He said Have a good day.”

“Guidos has great pizza. This was my first time going there and I ordered a large cheese for take out. When I got there I waited a few minutes before it was ready to go. They seemed very busy with deliveries and take out. This location has been in business for over 20 years and it was clear they have been successful. They were very friendly as well. I ate the pizza about an hour after I picked it up and even though it was a bit cold, the crust was still a bit crispy and had a great texture and flavor. It was a classic pizza with the right balance of cheese and sauce. The interior is spartan and small, hence the lower grade for atmosphere. Parking was tight.”

Service was good and I was happy that I could grab some gluten free fried chicken (they only make so many a day). Definitely a gluten friendly place. Fun mock-tails to try. “I came here with 4 friends on a Friday evening and it wasn't crowded. I did a phone reservation a few days before. We ordered margherita pizza and 3 pasta dishes of the following: Spaghettini Con Anatra (homemade spaghettini with duck ragu sauce), Spaghetti Alla Carbonara Romana (spaghetti with pork cheeks & egg) & Fetuccine Al Funghi (hand cut egg noodles w/ portobella & porcini mushrooms). I was glad that my friends and I shared all the pasta dishes to try a few bites from each. I love that their pasta is hand made. Each pasta is also al dente (chewy & firm). The duck ragu pasta dish was pretty light in flavor but still flavorful with the duck. The mushrooms were juicy and fresh and the egg noodles were wonderful. The carbonara dish was quite rich and creamy in flavor but its crispy bacon and peppery taste balanced out the richness from the cheese. The pizza was also delicious with the thin crust and char from wood fire. It was juicy from the tomatoes & cheesy. The pesto sauce was also a nice extra touch to the pizza. I tried their nectarine & silican almond for gelato this time. Nectarine tasted just like the fruit and it was refreshing. The almond was quite nutty. I also recommend their focaccia bread and pistachio gelato. I was sad that they didn't have pistachio gelato this time since I usually get that when I have visited Bulgarini the past few times. As someone who loves pistachios, their pistachio gelato is one of the best I have tasted in LA area. 😊😋”

“This place is the only all you can eat AYCE dumpling restaurant I saw in San Gabriel. It's a small hole in a wall mom and pop shop and you can even see an elderly couple making the dumplings when you enter the restaurant. The place is small. When I came in, no one spoke english. One of the waitress came with a translator machine and that was the first time I communicated with one of the staff. Someone came over and put a pot of boiling water on the portable stove on our table. We are given a big tray with ladle. The dumplings are on trays of 8 pcs and I thought we have to grab each tray. I was wrong. I grabbed 5 trays of different dumplings so I got full adter eating 40. I didn't know that I need to use the BIG tray that is put on the table with a big ladle. You will use that tray to pick the dumplings you want from the freezer and put it on your tray. You will then boil these dumplings until they float. Wait for a few more minutes to cook the internal of the dumplings. There are also some appetizers like kimchi, eggplant, bean sprouts and fish balls on the other side of the freezer. There are black, red vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, sesame oil and chili oil that you can mix for the dumpling sauce. The dumplings are delicious and fresh. We tried their beef, shrimp and vegetable dumplings. This place is worth it if you have the big appetite to eat dumplings. But they have a limit. Only 1 hour for AYCE dumplings.”
