“Fantastic!!! Went for Sunday brunch. Loved the Benedict braised rib. The lemon pasta was really good, including the seafood platter. Please forgive me for not giving the exact names of the dishes, but I will edit this later with the correct names. Waiting staff was excellent, and the owners were very nice. The desserts are yummy, including the gelato. I definitely will be back!”

“This is a small neighborhood Hispanic restaurant. The food is fresh and flavorful. The service was fast and courteous. The margaritas 🍹were delicious. There is a lot of food. There is enough to share or take home. Parking is in the rear of the restaurant and north of the restaurant. There is also street parking. The decor is of wooden panels and Hispanic items. The is a TV with sports playing and great late 80’s and 90’s music playing.”

“I'm still sitting in the restaurant to write this so I don't forget anything. Everything was SO delicious! We jad the appetizer sampler, empenadas (1 beef 1 chicken), a mango papaya shake, and the Cubano sandwich. We both felt that this was the best yucca we've had. The fried pork was fantastic. The empenadas were flaky and flavorful. The bread on the Cubano was the perfect mix and crispy and fluffy. The shake tasted creamy and fresh. It was the perfect ending to a hot day at Magic Mountain!”

“The food is amazing and the staff are friendly! There will be a little bit of a wait, but it’s worth it because everything is cooked to order! Always fresh. They close from 2-3 to be able to prep for more customers, since they have grown so fast! Definitely recommend. Never had a bad meal!”

“I stopped by lunch time and was surprised by this delicious food and fast service. Clean atmosphere, friendly staff, and reasonably price for luck for two with alcohol. We eat until we were stuffed, that’s how much food came on the combo for two for 60$. Definitely I place that I will explore more.”

“Amazing food, came out quickly, and a good spot in town. As a vegetarian, their ‘Veggie’ burrito only has rice, beans, and lettuce. I asked for onion & bell pepper, and it was a bit extra $$. A little odd, but it worked. The tostada bowl salad was tasty, the burrito was delicious, and the hard shell potato taco was a new favorite!”

“Taqueria La Chilanguita Found this gem of a place tucked between a gas station and a beauty salon. Swung by on a Tuesday but they were closed, forgot that I read it in one of the reviews and tips. Not to be discouraged I came back to check out what's up with the near perfect rating. Got there before noon and I saw but one parking space available so I quickly eased into it. Walked inside and noted that out of the ten tables, 6 were occupied, one had a booster seat on top of the table, another was quickly taken by the man who walked in front of me so l had to take what's available. I sat on one end of two tables put together to form a long one I guess in case of bigger groups, not a lone diner like myself. The hostess didn't say anything though. It was a few minutes after, that I got a menu and decided on machaca con huevos. When the lady came to take my order I told her I wanted the machaca and pointed at the picture of a plate with what I presumed was shredded beef, two sunny side up eggs, rice and beans. She told me that was carne asada plate and the machaca con huevos is made with scrambled eggs, onions, tomatoes, and shredded beef. In the end I went for the carne asada plate. It didn't take long before my plate was delivered to me and I salivated at the aromas that assailed my nostrils. The beans, although a little on the runny side, was creamy, the rice was fluffy, both were so flavorful they were a meal by themselves. The carne asada was really good. Way back when, I was invited to my friend's house and her mom cooked carne asada and homemade tortillas. This carne asada and house made tortillas (3 of them that came in a warmer) almost brought me to tears, as they reminded me of my friend and her mom, both of whom I haven't seen in ages. I was trying to pace myself and look composed as I tried not to shovel the food as fast as I wanted to, being the only non-Hispanic customer wanted to look cute. Really good food makes me lose my mind sometimes. Lol. I had coffee with my big breakfast. Strong and hot coffee that came in a good sized mug, not those dainty little cups, and a cute little tin cup of creamer. It was a perfect accompaniment to my heavy meal. As I made my way to the cashier to pay, I noticed a glass case with a variety of pan dulce (sweet bread). Got a dozen to go and I got a vanilla and chocolate conchas for free. Wow what a deal. Fast and friendly service, no wonder they have a near perfect score. It may be due to the not so great parking area, but I wouldn't dock a star for that. This place has got my two thumbs up. I'll be back for the machaca con huevos.”

“Outstanding friendly and helpful service is the number one thing at this little gem. The two women who served us were friendly and had glow of real happiness on them, which is almost spooky for Los Angeles, but all the more remarkable because of it. The food was very good +- I had the chilaquiles, My friend had the heuvos rancheros, and they serve up a beautiful warm bolillo, which made me wish I could come back and sample their bakery in a more systematic fashion. the chilaquiles were very good but my bar is very high, unfairly so, I reckon. I think the HR were good too. I very much liked their unsweetened cafe olla, which I think I ruined by putting in half and half in a fit of distraction. Well it wasn't ruined but it would have been better without it. And I love what they did to make the sidewalk seating a friendly grotto like porch -- a pleasant oasis of character in this pretty bleak commercial neighborhood. I'd return again if I were for some reason in the neighborhood again...”

“Ordered a taco estilo "Perro" on a handmade thick tortilla. The taco has steak (resembling birria) , grilled cheese, red salsa, radishes, Chipotle sauce, onion, and beans de olla. The taco weighs about a pound so a small tortilla won't do, and comes in its owe box. Needed 2 just to fill me up, because it's Gordito Approved! Pull up, and grab yours to go!”

“First time here, and I have no regrets The young man here works hard and seems to do it all by himself. He was very nice and made everything fast. He recommended the uptown special pizza and meat lovers pizza. I added 2 sides of wings. The pizza was loaded with meat and veggies!! This place is delicious you won't regret it. It's well worth the price. The crust and all the toppings are delicious! This is my family's new favorite pizza spot.”

“One of my favorite restaurants to go to. Decently priced and food is always delicious. One of my favorite dishes is always the surf and turf either burritos, quesadilla, or the tacos. The Michelada’s here are actually really good too. And their appetizers are good.”

“The only Filipino game in this area and it's goooood 😋. During covid there is no dine in. You order cafeteria style. You can do combo plates or al-a-cart. The combo says to choose rice or pan it, but you can actually ask them to split it. Don't forget to try the halo halo 🍨, lechon 🐖, and the pata 🐷”

“Good burger spot. Inside is simple. Only a few tables and some seating along the wall counter. Additional seating outside along the sidewalk. The burgers are good. They get messy but I like it like that. They also have a few chicken sandwiches. Service is good. Friendly staff. There's street meter parking or a small pay lot across the street.”
