“My next delivery got lost, and never arrived so I got a credit. They were so apologetic and told me they would look into why this happened with the delivery service and I would get my scheduled meals the next week--they couldn't send a replacement for that week. So I ran out and bought groceries for the week. The next week, my package got damaged at the shipping facility, so I never got it. Two weeks in a row? That's bad luck. The next week, the my package went to the wrong shipping facility. Now I'm mad. I call them up and tell them I want to cancel, but they convince me that I would get my next shipment, and was offered credits for my next two shipments. The next week, the package got lost AGAIN! Enough is enough now! I called and cancelled and told them I understood they were a new company, but maybe they should think about getting another delivery service. The rep said "we hope you come back" and I was like DOUBTFUL BYE. I'm so disappointed because the food was pretty good and super easy, but what are you gonna do.”

“I like this place, mostly because of the cool staff when I go. I randomly go around sunset. I'm always in and out. The employees have good attitudes, they remember customers and help each other pretty well. All gives you better service to me. The food taste and looks somewhat fresh when I go. They do get people with low-income and people who live on the surrounding streets. Their good people tho, just hard conditions. Unfortunately, you do get people with sub-standard hygiene and less care for cleanliness. Which creates an extra needed attention that's harder on staff. So sometimes the place will be a bit dirty. But they're cool people too with good convos. The employees know some of their names also. Which is even greater! They also serve ebt. I mean, they are directly attached to the county building.... Why not? But in all. Good experience. Good service. Bad upkeep in cleanliness.”

“When it comes to places like La Chiquita, I usually like to keep it to myself. It's a neighborhood taqueria as well. The owner and her husband have had the business for 20+ years. The cops eat here a LOT, SO DON'T GET ANY IDEAS! The soups are a cure-all. I ordered the Chicken Caldo and the Veggie Beef Caldo. The veggies are cut fresh and dropped into the broth with the Chicken, so expect to wait while your soup is made fresh in front of you. Everyone that eats here is a regular. It's a great place to meet the locals, but it's tiny, so not a real hangout spot. The owners speak Spanish and English. Street parking only. No public bathrooms.”

There's nowhere to park to eat here so you have to find a spot on the street, which ain't easy. The place is also small so eating here might not be a luxury you get. “We loved Joe & The Juice when we were in Denmark and we were really excited when we found out one was opening nearby. We walked over and got there at 7:05 as we didn't know they closed at 7pm. The employee was gracious enough to allow us to order a juice to go which we really appreciated. The juice was as fresh as to be expected from any Joe & The Juice and we will be back to try more menu items.”

The menu is cheeky, but the food here is fantastic. Like before, I still really enjoy the chicken tenders and fries basket, as well as Steve's Burger. The staff are incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is great. Not only are the burgers, fries, and chicken amazing, the salads are great too. Most people who come here order a salad- fresh, refreshing, and flavorful. The portions are well sized and the seating is ample. I'd suggest signing up for a FiveStars local rewards account so that you can rack up points to unlock different rewards.”

“So, I really don't give more than three stars to a chain restaurant where everything is programmed with minimal creativity. Everyone knows what to expect. Some, basic, Mexican want-to-be type food, disguised as a taco or a burrito. A few other reinventions of the same thing, but not worth it. So why give this particular Taco Bell an extra star or two? Well, there is a story... Walking past, a homeless guy was seeking shelter sitting down and leaning against the wall, across the street. He asked me if I could help him out, so I decided why not, and told him I would buy him a taco if he would like it. He was very happy and followed me over to Taco Bell, and respectfully stood to one side near the door, while I order his taco. When the counter staff handed me the takeaway bag, she nodded at the man waiting patiently by the door and gave me a smile. The bag was heavier than it should have been for a taco. I thanked her and handed the bag over to the man, who looked inside and opened his eyes wide in happiness when he saw not one taco but several extras, added by the staff. The man left with his quiet thanks, and when I saw him next, he was quietly sharing his meal with his girlfriend, both nestled up against a wall, on some cardboard and a blanket. Taco Bell, Bell Gardens, California... Helping out your community and those in needs, a few tacos at a time, earned you five stars. Good on you, team.”
