“First of all I was reading some reviews before I came here but I decided to give it a shot. Great place and very clean from entering to even when using the restroom. “Great sushi! Came here and got two rolls for $16 each (they were specialty rolls) and it was way too much food! They packed each box with tons of popcorn lobster, krab, etc. It was delicious, flavorful, and you would definitely be full from only one roll. They also serve simpler rolls for cheaper prices, and they don't take too long either. The seating area around the place is plentiful so you shouldn't have an issue finding a seat, even on a Saturday.”

“This place is a total hidden gem for Awesome authentic Filipino food! I've been working in the Hawthorne area for the last 5 years and just found this place a week ago sadly enough. Just like most of the comments here, don't let the small location and Aesthetics fool you! Not too many places offer great quality with enormous portions and competitively priced. They truly will let you sample everything before you decide to order. I ordered a 2 item combo and it was easily enough to feed 2 people or 3 with small appetites. Will definitely be coming back when I'm craving the homeland food!”

“We popped in here because the In and Out across the street had a line out the door, and we're glad we did! The torta was incredible, and the tacos were ace. They also have a bakery, and we picked up some fresh out of the oven bread and pastries that were absolutely delicious! They also had a special where they priced their pack of 30 tortillas for just $1, which was welcome with all the outrageous food prices lately! (I think it's usually like $3-4?) We also grabbed a bag of homemade chips. Definitely coming back!”

“I first found this place through catering and it was so good I decided to go in person. I like their bread, it's different. The chimichurri steak is my favorite. They have craft sodas and lemonade that are tasty as well as canned and bottle beverages. I also like the sundried tomatoes chicken sandwich. It feels healthy. I haven't tried the bowls yet.”

“My wife and I have been coming here for years and only recently we decided to hop on the Metro and bring our daughters (1.5 and 4.5 y.o.); this place is an amazing small spot and quite possibly the best South Pasadena sushi spot. The staff is really nice and there is just something about the chef that makes you like him. They have always been attentive and good with us. For those who complain about portions, this is definitely not “all you can eat” so don’t expect it because this far exceeds the quality of the AYCE spots by at least a mile. Try the Chuka Iidako and the Tako Wasabi to start and go with the Salmon Avocado Salad and go from there. Finish off with ice cream down the street 😬”

“1st visit. Had the Singapore Noodles. Not the most flavor I've ever tasted but good. Just not great, at least that dish. I will be back and dine-in next time, order something different and update the review if it merits it. I gave it four stars for the service (5 stars) and the decor (4). It doesn't scream Chinese food (the cliche anyway) but it's tastefully done. I ordered takeout, veggie egg rolls with my noodles (good) and the person that took my order was great. The pepperoni pizza is delicious, the lemon pepper wings are amazing (I ordered them crispy and I am very picky about wings) and the service from Chris is wonderfully hospitable, knowledgeable, professional, kind, and knew what to recommend for newbies like us.
