“This was Killingsworth Jr. High when I went there, I believe Mr. Fedde was my woodshop teacher along with running the community center where this man had a great influence on a lot of young men. He ran a football and basketball league along with getting us dodger tickets so we all had the opportunity to attend the games. A lot of us were disadvantaged. It didn't at that time have the sports complex it has now. I remember all the teachers were awesome. I lived on Seine ave, had many, many friends there that I still remember them and their families. At that time it was a very family oriented neighborhood and everyone looked out for each other. I have no idea about now as I've been gone since the summer of '72. It seems to me the neighborhood is really clean and well maintained as opposed to how it was back in the day.”

“Ever since the year 2011-2012 came roosevelt got better to be honest.The Kids wear their uniforms and everyday my daughter wants to go because how much shes learning and having fun.Parents arnt allowed on school ground only outside or when theirs an emergency, and when the kids are getting out you can wait for them on the playground in the parent center.Shes been their since preschool and it has never been like this.Also the teachers are nicer and they help you in a problem of algebra if you dont understand the problem.I recomend roosevelt to anybody who wants their kids to have a great education.”
