“I enjoyed Stephen White Middle School. Even though I was only there one year. I met some of the coolest people there who became my friends. The teachers I had were awesome. Thank you for a wonderful year.”

“I came from a tiny school and now I'm here as a Schurr Spartan. I'm in the 9th grade, a freshman. You'd probably never find this post anyways or anyone for that matter because my voice is drowned out by the others and disappear and is always forgotten like usual. You'd probably never even check this page or see the opinions of other students so might as well. Even though it's been 5 days, just starting high school and all, it has been a bit fun but it really has so so many downsides to it. The teachers are confusing and don't tell you anything. I'm always confused by what they do and stuff. That's all I needed to say about the education. And now I posted something similar on the Macy review as well. I learned they have a peer counseling program now and I'm pretty upset this school doesn't have one or any programs that helps students make new friends. It would help a lot of kids like myself. I am not confident in myself, I have very, very, very, low self esteem, I can't make a single friend, I can't talk to anyone, I am very anti social, I am shy, I am very, very, quiet, I can't speak up for myself, I don't have a social life, I'm always secluded, I'm always lonely, I'm always by myself, no one listens to me, I am invisible, I am a ghost, literally no one notices me when I'm right in front of them, I am not important, I can always be replaced, I hate myself, people hate me, I'm not good at anything, I'm always drowned out, I am not popular, I never get attention, I always excluded, I am misunderstood, I am a loser, I am ugly, and I am always sad. I'm always crying on the inside. I have problems and issues that no one understands. When the teacher tells us to get in groups in Biology I always never find one. People always stare and probably think "Aww I feel bad". I always get some sort of pity from people. I always have to hold in my tears. It's the same thing as always. I'm almost used to it. I'm also upset people have moved on without me. People have forgotten about me as usual and toss me out like a used napkin when they're done with me. It's sad to see no one remembering me but I don't know why it bothers me when I see all my old friends passing by me not giving a care in the world. They don't even blink an eye when they see me! Even if I know them since pre school or kindergarten! When they see their new friends however, they laugh, giggle, smile, scream, yell, or whatever and get excited about seeing them again makes me feel worse than I already do because I always think "I should've done this..." "I shouldn't have done that..." And always, always, always "What would it be like to have someone to TRULY care about you?" Always hurts me on the inside and always breaks me. There is no way I can get past that. I'd rather get beat up and bullied than live like this forever. At least if I get bullied and beat up the bully will actually give me some attention for once and notice me finally. Anyways since no one will find this thanks for listening imaginary people. Sincerely, I'm a 9th grade freshman”

“Kat is an amazing dance teacher and you will not regret working with her. My partner and I took private salsa lessons with Kat for about 2 years. I had danced salsa before on my college dance team, and my partner had two left feet. We wanted to dance salsa as a hobby and get comfortable on the dance floor for social dancing. We tried lessons with other dance instructors but had negative experiences – some teachers were even condescending. We were so lucky to come across Kat. She is incredibly patient and was able to craft lessons that addressed both of our dancing levels / experience. My partner has gone from not being able to recognize a salsa rhythm to confidently putting together dance sequences. I have grown a lot as a follower – learning how to take cues and add in styling. One of my favorite things about dancing with Kat is she is so knowledgeable. She was a wealth of knowledge on the background and history of various moves, as well as the physical mechanics of how the moves work. If you want to learn a lot and have a great time doing so, I highly recommend dancing with SalsaKat.”

“My son has been taking piano lessons with Mike for a year and a half and is really enjoying his lessons. Mike is great at keeping him motivated. Mike is also very accommodating and has let my son play many additional songs he has been interested in learning on top of his songs in the instructional books. Mike is also very patient and really caters his style to your child. We are so grateful to have found him. I think he teaches about any instrument as well as voice (which my son is now also interested in). In other words, your child can grow with Mike or switch their focus and Mike will be there to guide them. There are also quarterly recitals (virtual) that give the kids a chance to perform which is really nice. I highly recommend you give him a try for yourself or your kids!”

“I am an alumna and my sister has recently been admitted to BCLH. She attended summer school and in a matter of 1.5 months I was able to see a drastic difference in her behavior and academically. Ms. Jennoff and all staff member at BCLH have been AMAZING!!! There have been a lot of great changes in the school. The school is very safe and staff members have been a great support system. I am very pleased and looking forward to the school year.”

“I started my Yoga training with Alison as a suggestion of my wife. Being unfamiliar with yoga myself this was an opportunity for a much needed healthier and more active lifestyle restart for me. At the very first meeting with Alison she recognized my level and adapted her classes to help me feel confident and move through poses with ease. She leads the flow giving clear and detailed instructions and I improve my strength and energy levels at the end of each session. I continue my training during COVID lockdown with Alison’s Virtual classes. I was surprised to find out how flawless and structured these online sessions actually are. I would recommend Alison Burmeister Yoga Classes to everyone who would like to bring a significant change to both his body and mind under the professional guidance of a highly skilled and experienced instructor with an inspiring personality and individual approach to each of her clients.”

“My son used to take drum lessons here until we moved out of the area and to this day I haven't found a teacher quite like Ray or a music school quite like Pasadena Music Academy. The level of services offered at the school are amazing, from the convenience of scheduling and rescheduling lessons online, the ability to schedule with different instructors to make up for missed lessons due to vacation, and the band workshops, regular recitals, and picture days. I love Pasadena Music Academy and am so happy they recently opened a second location in downtown Monrovia. PMA really understands parents and students and makes music lessons fun, engaging and relevant!”

“I love Dove Day School. I feel its a safe and clean place for children. Unlike other schools/day care centers where the kids are constantly sick or coming home with pink eye, Dove Day is a very clean and safe place. They have a very high standard for teachers and aids, and I know that they love the children in their care. The Elementary School principal (& Kindergarten teacher) is a very caring teacher who communicates well with children and parents. When I have had questions or concerns, I have always felt heard by the staff. We have also counseled with them on the development and growth of the children, and we found it very helpful. Dove Day School really fosters a whole family environment -- its own little community.”
