  Super fun place. Trail is pretty easy but prepare for some steep, narrow paths at some points. Be sure to pack water too as there aren't any water points along the trail.

  Love Ridge Trail and Saratoga Gap Trail Loop. Super fun trails! The walk-up campground: Castile Rock Trail Camp is remote and nice, too. Strongly recommend :D

  Great state park. One of the few places to climb in the area and also the start of a great multi-night backpack route. One of the only ones in the Santa Cruz Mountains

  The huge boulders here are amazing. If you are a climber, there are small and large rocks to challenge your skills. The nooks and sitting spots are fun for taking a break and enjoying the view. For some reason, its easy to spend a few hours just hanging around this unique, nature filled area.

  Extremely popular park for hikers and rock climbing castle rock has it all. We regularly enjoy the six mile loop trail out to the campground and back to the parking areas. Trail begins in redwood forest then passes cavernous rock formations popular for beginning and intermediate climbers. You pass a charming but variable waterfall with a nice view and then transition to combination hike/rock scramble along an escarpment with incredible views of the Santa Cruz mountains and peek a boo view to the Pacific Ocean to the northwest.
