  Any dry winter day makes this 5.5 mile easy walk around the Island a must do - Best views of the Golden gate. Blue and Gold ferry from pier 41.

  Had a great time here with my wife. We hiked the North Ridge + Sunset trail loop. The trails are well cared for and were not too difficult. The total hike took us just under 2 hours but we were moving fairly quickly.

  Great tourist spot with a lot of history. Beautiful place too. I wish I could have stayed here longer.

  Lots of great hiking and historical sites. Fun gift shop and wonderful cafe. The ferry ride was cool, be prepared for a work out unless you take a driven tour.

  Perfect day hiking experience with unparalleled 360 degree views of the entire San Francisco Bay including San Francisco and Oakland. Requires a ferry to get there and the schedule is limited. Don't miss the last one or you'll need a water taxi. Highlights include historic military forts and bases and their abandoned buildings and facilities, the historic immigration center (Ellis Island of the West), and amazing views. You need a day to see it all. Easy and moderately easy hiking choices. Great for families.
