“We just ate dinner here for the first time in about 5 years even though we live a mile away! I was very happy to discover that the food and service was even better than I remember. Great warm and inviting atmosphere, especially on the cold rainy evening we dined here. Our server was excellent and attentive. The food was very good. I enjoyed my prawns and angel hair pasta a lot. A little disappointed with the calamari appetizer which seemed a little soggy. Not a terribly expensive restaurant, but a nice experience. It would be great for birthdays and anniversaries. I suggest making reservations...it gets really busy.”

“This is a good restaurant adjacent to the nine hole golf course at the end of Smith Ranch Road in San Rafael. Most people don’t even know it’s there. Varied menu and the food is good the atmosphere is low-key & quiet. The service is good it’s quick the prices are reasonable and it’s convenient being local. One of my favorite dishes is the Asian skirt steak that’s a really good choice of meat and flavorful $24 with vegetables well worth the money. There is a full bar there are always people at the bar. It’s a good place to meet some friends and watch a game or just meet friends and shoot the breeze. There are some “regulars” but it’s a nice crowd, quiet it’s an easy place to relax and enjoy a fine meal. There is also a daily dinner specials check it out you won’t be disappointed.”

“A total and unconditional gem. Tony knows his stuff and his barbecue is old school in the best possible way. Ribs, pulled pork, chicken, sauce, beans and greens, and slaw were all some of the best I've ever had. We just stopped by the Paper Mill Saloon (also one of my favorite joints) and Tony was dishing out leftovers from Sunday Kickoff for the locals and invited us to get in on the action: his LEFTOVERS blew away anything I've had in SF. Do yourself a favor: stop, have a few beers, say hello and load up next time you're passing through. I can't wait to go back.”

“I like this place a lot I used to work next door and eat lunch a lot the fries are good and the burgers sloppy don't complain about it being cash only that's your fault for not realizing beforehand. As another reviewer stated they have a nice bathroom even though it's a little small the hand dryer wasn't working the last time I was there so I had to use paper towels but it was fine I won't deduct any stars for that.”

“Wonderful little outdoor wedding venue nestled in a redwood grove. Even more beautiful at night, with string lights illuminating the forest and fountains. The small indoor area and outdoor bar and patio were quaint and stylish, and the friendly staff did a great job serving appetizers and drinks, keeping the dinner buffet stocked and clean, and meeting all of the needs of the guests. The food was tasty as well, with delicious smokey tri-tip and salmon that wasn't overcooked.”
