  Dr Kim Schmidt has been a God send for my 8 yo golden Riley with severe osteoporosis of the R hip joint. We started acupuncture on Riley about 5 months ago and she received weekly treatments for several months, then progressed to every 2 weeks, and currently receives monthly accupuncture.
  I noticed a slight improvement after 2-3 treatments & then a marked improvement after several months. Clinically, Riley was struggling to walk comfortably for short intervals (5 minutes), her back R leg was stiff and painful and she struggled to hold herself up while having a bowel movement. Riley also suffered from urinary incontinence.
  After 5 months of acupuncture I’m happy to report that Riley can easily walk 15-20 minutes at a pretty brisk pace, her back leg mobility is much improved & she holds herself up easily to have a BM. Her urinary incontinence has also improved & she rarely leaks urine.
  Riley was on multiple medications for her osteoporosis, but her mobility had not improved that much. After starting the acupuncture her mobility has markedly improved and she definitely has less pain & stiffness. She walks for 20 minutes at the park & happily plays with her 8 month old puppy brother.
  Riley’s quality of life is so much improved and her pain/stiffness is so much less that she looks like a different dog now.
  I highly recommend Dr Schmidt. Not only is she an excellent clinician, but she is a gentle and sensitive person when cares deeply about the welfare of animals!!

  I have a 13 1/2 year old schnauzer who plays like a puppy. Twice in the last 8 months she hurt herself and could hardly walk. After 2 treatments she was bouncing around like her old self. Very caring and great with the animals. I highly recommend an added bonus she keeps your regular vet in the loop on treatments. They work together extremely well as there are never any conflict of interest, only what is best for your pet.

  I love Dr. Schmidt! Her service is wondeful and really adds to the health and wellness of my dog. You get a very in depth assessment that is not rushed. Even having Dr. Schmidt look at my 5 month old puppy has been very beneficial. Thank you!

  Dr. Kim is very knowledgeable about alternative treatments for our fur babies. She is gentle and so loving to my golden retriever. We feel so lucky to have found her!
