Dr. O has been great with both our kids, and has been a wonderful encouragement to make sure that they take care of their teeth. We're happily a part of the "no cavity club" and the whole office is tailored to children which is great!

Four years ago, we were referred by another dentist to Dr. Okawachi for my son dental workup after my two years old son finished his radiation and chemo therapy. My son had cancer in his neck. The results from radiation affected the growth of his teeth. So he needed extensive dental workup. Dr. Okawachi did an awesome job on my sons crowns without any complications.

When we first met with Dr. Okawachi, I knew he is the dentist that would take good care of my son's dental health. Not only that he is kind, he is humble, and he is super patience. He listened to our concerns and explained to us what needed to be done, how it would be done. I trust his professionalism. He has a way of communicating with young patient. My son can be very challenging at time because of what he been through. Certain dentist doesn't have the patience to complete my son dental treatment, but somehow Dr. Okawachi was able managed it. It just a way of how he approached the patient. That really said something about Dr. Okawachi bedside manner.

Because of the radiation, my son will be needing the dental workup more than other kids. We are going to continue seeing Dr. Okawachi for my son many more dental workup dispite the distance and the out of network system (out of network has higher copays). My son prefer seeing Dr. Okawachi instead of his regular dentist (the dentist in the network). He said "mom. Dr.Okawachi is so patience, I like him.". This is coming out from a 7 years old boy. Thank you Dr. Okawachi for all you've done.

It was a great experience having Dr. Dave work on my 3 year old. From the first visit he put me at ease by explaining everything up front, even showing me various options for sedations. On the day of the dental work it went extremely smoothly. He allowed me to check on my son several times and his dental work came out beautiful! I could not have asked for a better pediatric dentist and highly recommend Dr. Dave.

We were visiting Disneyland for a family vacation when my son developed an abscess on one of his molars. Our dentist from our home state recommended we take him in as soon as possible to have it looked at. At this point our options were to take him to Urgent Care, the emergency room or find a dentist with an opening to see him. We wanted to avoid the hospital if possible but knew finding a dentist with an opening in their schedule would be difficult. After calling several places, we spoke to the staff at Dr. Dave's office and once they heard our situation they told us to come to his office immediately. They were friendly and very welcoming. They were able to see my son between his normal appointments and made sure that he did everything possible so this medical issue would not ruin our trip to Disneyland. He gave us all the information we needed to care for the abscess, and took the time to call several pharmacies on the way back to Disneyland to make sure they had the antibiotics needed so we wouldn't have to travel a long way. Dr. Dave and his staff were exceptional during our visit. This office was the perfect children's dentist from the staff at the front desk, to the assistants to the fun and caring attitude of Dr. Dave. I highly recommend Dr. Okawachi for children's dentistry in the Anaheim area.
