Loved coming here with my girlfriend for Christmas. Midori was so nice and took us through a special waltz combination.
It is such a joy to be a student at Astoria Ballroom. Every time I enter the ballroom I am refreshed by the inspiring atmosphere. The facility is always impeccably clean and the environment is respectfully focused on dance. It is easy to practice and keep my thought disciplined on working on the elements of the dance. The coaches, Alex and Midori, constantly refine their teaching techniques to accommodate each students learning style. When I don't "get it" they rephrase the idea until I do "get it". It is so pleasant to learn from them, because there is always a new approach, it is never boring.
The facility is beautiful and I felt welcomed as soon as I entered the studio. I took a few group classes and learned a couple of dances, I didn't have a partner but I had so much fun! I didn't have to worry about anything during the class because the group classes were small enough for the teachers to give you more attention, so you can learn more than just steps. The teachers are very knowledgable and their private lessons are so unique compared to other studios. But never thought that dancing involved so much depth, lol! I guess that makes the dancing look amazing! Definitly worth experiencing it for sure!!!
