  We had tried many swim schools in the area and we found Aqua Tot. We called this is a PreSchool for professional Swimmers ! The water is warm and doesn’t smell Chlorine as other places. All the coaches are very sweet to the kids and know how to work with each kid. The fee is a little pricey but so worth it for kids. Highly recommend!

  Great instructors. My son is gaining confidence in the water and mastering the drills.

  Coach Taylor at the Costa Mesa location is the best, she an absolute Gem and game changer for my son in his swimming journey. My son has never felt more comfortable and safe in anyone else’s care other than my family’s and of course us as parents. She is very attentive, caring, patient and willing to work with his ability each and every class he has whether or not he is progressing or regressed she’s always out of courage and always has him trying new things and he ends up leaving with a smile every time. He has progressed so much in the past four months. He started off slow and each class continues to progress and learn new skills she works with him so carefully and is very hands-on and doesn’t push him to do something he’s not comfortable with which I’ve seen other coaches do as I sit there and I have never missed a class and will at times scan the pool
  And observe the other coaches with their classes and students. The locations is no more than 5 minutes from my house and the staff are very attentive to the request I’ve asked regarding if the coach calls out to please call me prior to class starting or as soon as they know, so that I can reschedule my son. The only negative is that kids seem to be sick a lot and their parents are not keeping them at home and the amount it germs they are adding to a smaller enclosed area with kids whom some may be vaccinated and some may not be (our family and my son are pro vaccination so my son is vaccinated) however with all the kids that we’ve seen there since coming coughing and being sick my son has picked up two awful bacteria bugs (sicknesses) while being enrolled. so that is why I give this a nine rather than attend because I feel that the school and the facility itself could implement more rules and terms on sick children in the water being that they are in close quarters with each other as they do at a public school require vaccinations I feel that in a public pool kids should be required to vaccinated when they are in close quarters as they are here.

  Coaches are really good with children, remember their names, who they each are and my child is learning the right and safe way of swimming. Love the feeling of walking in to aqua tots and right away you feel welcome, like family.

  They do a great job of teaching a solid foundation and building on that. They are also flexible with their scheduling, and that helps when other issues pop up.
  
  My only real criticism is the format, 4 kids per one student means your child will have alot of downtime. I often see kids day dreaming while they wait for their turn.
  
  Still, a savvy parent can schedule lessons on off peak times, and you can stack the odds in your favor that there will be less than 4 kids in your kids class.
