Vaca

This is the best meal I've had in a long time, and that is saying something because I used to live in Chicago and have been to some great restaurants. We were lucky enough to walk in on a Saturday night and only have a short wait to get 2 seats at the bar. The bartender was very attentive to us even though she was so busy. Both cocktails I had were interesting and delicious, along with being beautiful. The tapas style made it easy to order just a of couple things at a time and enjoy them before moving on to something new. Everything we ate was amazing, but my favorite was the bone marrow with beef cheek. The meal wasn't cheap but was worth every penny.

It's been a while since I've enjoyed a meal this much. I really like the tapas concept because it allows you to taste a variety of different dishes. Even more surprising was that every single one we ordered was absolutely delicious. We also shared a steak, which was cooked to perfection. Top that off with excellent service, which makes this place a keeper for me. I'll definitely be going back.

My first time here was phenomenal. Sat on the patio, beautiful summer weather, drinks were delightful, the food was on point. So of course, I had to come back. I love the ambience and atmosphere of Vaca. Romantic, rustic, beautiful. Sitting inside is awful. You are seated lined up on bench seating where you can hear the conversations on both sides of you. I understand it's a small place so unfortunately it's hard to do something different with seating. The food was as amazing as I remember it but the drinks lacked luster. Ordered a couple of the signature fancy drinks and they did not impress, so I switched to an off menu spicy cucumber margarita and that hit the spot. Overall a great night, just not as amazing as that first time.

Great food because it reminded me of Spain. Their service could have been better but it's the holidays and most restaurants are under staffed. Great spot for groups. They were accommodating to my family.
