I went to this same group of Physical Therapists 15 years ago when I had my first knee implant done. After having a revision knee implant, I went to another office that my Ortho Surgeon recommended. However, I immediatley came back to Dan Point Physical Therapy after just two visits elsewhere.
At Dana Point PT all have there earn their Dr degrees which gives them the advantage over several other Physical Therapy offices. They give you a very through examination and build a program that is tailored to your specific case and personal needs. Each time I go in, I am handled by one of the Doctors for an examine, a massage and then I begin my work out. Most of the time, a staff member stays with me during my entire work out. They also give me suggestions on things I can do at home to help strengthen my leg and enhance mobility. Very personal interaction and a fairly open appointment calendar.

Love this place! I Don't know what I would do without them.

This perspective of DPT is too long for one comment so I am splitting it up...

I can't tell you how many doctor visits, how many x-rays, ,even surgeries I have avoided by seeing DPT before I make a decision. Honestly, the only time I go to a doctor now is if I have a flu or other sickness symptoms unrelated to body pain from activity, or lack thereof.

I am now an evangelist for PT. I "preach" it at all times to anyone who I hear has pain/discomfort, or really anyone who will listen.

I have always been an extremely active athlete, playing and competing at the highest of amateur levels since I was 10 years old to even now at 53. basketball, football, baseball, skateboarding, and for the 5 years before I went to DPPT, I took up, and fell in Love with Roller and Ice Hockey.

It was 12 years ago, at 41, when my body was starting to feel chronic pain in several areas following 5 years of straight non-stop high level competitive hockey and all the stresses and injuries associated with that, of course adding to the previous injuries, the worst of which was skateboarding,

My twins were recently born and my back and arms were so weak, I could not even lift them out of their crib. FYI, I am 6'2" and 200 lbs with primarily muscle and this was devastating to me.

I have never been a fan of pain medications and I wanted to avoid any needles/surgery/MRI/x-rays that my doctors were suggesting.

I saw a chiropractor who diagnosed me with a condition that he said should prevent me from playing another day of hockey. And, of course meant that I would need a steady regimen of guess what... chiropractic visits for the indefinite future. This devastated me, and I was determined to prove him wrong.

At the time, a golfer friend of mine (Robb Wolff) who had found relief through DPPT, suggested I see Jordan at DPPT.

This was the beginning of a turn around in my life from fear of pain to confidence from lack of pain and a plan to prevent it, and self regulate it should it happen again.

The direct result of my experience at DPPT has resulted in 12 years of physical prowess, freedom from pain, joy, multiple trophy awards, pictures on the wall of me and my friends dominating our sport and having memories that will last a lifetime.

Now my son is 13 and following in my footsteps. He is performing at a high level in hockey as well We share moments together every day of what we have accomplished and the possibilities of what he can do in this sport. In addition, my daughter is a natural athlete at running, outrigger paddling, and lately volleyball. I cannot tell you how much emotion the ability to keep up, play and even compete with my teenagers and their friends at 53 has given me.

If I can do this, so can you. Firstly, one must understand that It took your body years to get to the state that it is now. looking back, and speaking with people now, it amazes me that the predominance of people think that a shot, or pills, or any type of short term fix will get your years old body to naturally change that easily and quickly?

Unlike Doctors, who concentrate primarily on bones as they attempt to put injuries in numbered categories, PT typically uses very limited numbering so they can explore specifics of each person as it relates to their specific body.

After an intense and committed initial discovery and discipline program with Jordan/Andy and their team, I now have a regimen of muscle relaxation, stretching, and strengthening, that works for my specific sensitive areas as they react to My activities

As opposed to how Doctors do things in generic sense with invasive surgery and pain medications. Or, chiropractors do with quick violent adjustments to your spine.

Why do you think they call it "invasive" anyway?

FYI, these are hour long sessions. However, you can get insurance to cover it. Even if they don't, the price is well worth it when compared to any other form of treatment.
