maya'smomhere: Dr. Pastrana, 25ish years ago, was our family doctor, and though we had become Only-as-needed-occasional-patients, also not insurance-covered...We called one day and he made time to see us, almost immediately, about this odd medical "worrysome thing"! And he did remember us each individually, it had been several years, my children were grown ups now...
I want to say the Dr. Pastrana we know Was Interested in each of Us. I have not since had a doctor actually talk to me with alacrity, to actually be interested enough to discuss some mitigating factors that surround some illnesses. I am seriously considering driving 50 miles just to have his advice and practical input again on a health issue that is important to our family.
As a "cancer treatment survivor, so-far" I have found a lot of specializing doctors, where the right hand thinks the left hand is taking care of business...or vice-versa...whatever. The oncologist says it matters Not what you actually eat, right, ingest? The osteo/bone specialist says "just replace that ol' joint with This!...in the hmmm quality time er what's ...grinnn. And a Cheshire Cat couldna'do better. I fled, still I'm in pain, cannot flee far enough from that demobilizing fact.
I believe I need the right doctor who will help me to stay away from the doctors who are left, like, generally speaking!!! (oh, that didn't quite say what I meant, just gotta share the serendipitous-funny!) I'm thinking you will understand the idea here and, well,...thanx.

I have been seeing Dr. Pastrana for 2 years now and I am very happy with him and the service he provides. I believe he recommends preventative treatments like immunizations and screenings as best practices for prevention and not somes scheme to increase billing. He listens to me and makes appropriate referrals. I would give him 5 stars but it is difficult to see him for urgent care situations.

Dr. Pastrana has been a great doctor to me for a long time and I will always go to him for treatment.
