I came to Congo Audio on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at 930AM (appointment with owner, Edgar) to have a JL amp checked out and some parts soldered.
Edgar arrived as agreed, I explained the issue and he informed the technician (Jorge) was on his way. I explained to Jorge what needed to be done and he stated my course of action wasn't the best (bridging capacitors instead of removing & replacing old ones). He took the time to fully check my dash board connectors. Additionally, both informed me the JL Audio amp was toast, too many caps were burned & It'd be pricier to fix... In the end, I paid $20 for their services and input.
At no point were they pushy to get me to buy new gear, which btw, they have a great selection of single and double din stereos, amps (new & used), speakers & woofers.
They do car alarm, stereo, speaker, amp installs (and amp repairs), as well as Windows and tint. Great prices and service.
Will return. Recommended.
