Visiting from Chicago on business. Had a very nice interlude here this morning and did not walk away empty-handed! The selection of threads is spectacular. She has some specialty threads I have never seen anywhere (which says a lot given my shopping tendencies). Unfortunately, quite a few that I needed for a cross-stitch pattern I selected were out of stock. This was somewhat frustrating though I had no trouble substituting based on the photo and I do have a huge stash at home.

I didn't have an issue finding prices on anything, including the threads. I love that most of the threads are stored in baggies; I keep my threads in Floss-A-Way bags and these will slip right onto my rings as is!

The shop caters to both needlepointers and cross-stitchers; I do both so it's fun for me to pick out a variety of things in the same shop.

In addition to threads, the shop has a good selection of beads, beading supplies, treasures and other sparklies to add to your projects.

If I had to pick nits, I would agree with others that the shop is challenging to navigate, though I expect real estate prices and the profit margin on a local/indie craft shop have a lot to do with this. The owner was not the friendliest shop owner I have come across but she was perfectly polite and helpful when I asked a question.

I also agree that the selection of cross-stitch patterns veers toward the traditional/classic which may not be to everyone's taste. I like a variety of things from samplers to cheeky sayings and animals. It worked for me. I would have liked more and a variety of needlepoint canvases though I found quite a few that I liked. Even the largest and most elaborate ones were reasonably priced, relatively speaking.

I do appreciate the complementary needles and threaders that many shops provide with needlepoint canvases, but again, this comes at a cost to the shop so I can't really complain about this. I found her prices more than fair so why be picky about freebies?

I just read a comment recently that I felt was a little harsh... I just want to say that I think it is very hard to mark every single item in the store... there are thousands of threads and I don't see how each and every tiny spool could be marked... I feel her prices are very fair.....that being said, I guess everyone has their own opinion ... I however, LOVE the shop and feel that we are very fortunate to even have one around... It is very difficult to keep a Brick and Mortar store going these days, so I am grateful she is there... I feel she is very nice, and I love that she just allows you to browse around without following you... I love the store and its quaintness !! and find her trunk shows to be FABULOUS !!!

Needlepoints LTD offers a variety of thread textures and colors that rivals much larger shops. It’s my first go-to place for supplies! Diana offers well thought out and helpful suggestions for completing projects, and provides group lessons for students at multiple levels of proficiency. Some shops have gone to online service only. We are fortunate to have a hands-on shop nearby!

Very nice needlepoint shop. Good selection of threads and canvases. Located in a business park, but easy to find and close to both the 405 and 22 freeways at the Valley View off ramp.
