Its very peaceful there, my dogs love it and I do too, many hiking trails, horse stables, and there's a lake in the park, easy parking and a small and a large dog park,a library and a senior center are there too, there's also a nature center with beautiful redwood trees and interesting natural beauty.
My dog loves the big open space and he loves other dogs
This dog park is a great place to take your dogs to. It has separate areas for small dogs and big dogs. There are plenty of things to keep your active dogs busy and plenty of places for you to sit if they wear you out. The dogs have all been pretty friendly. There are balls laying around waiting to be thrown so your dog can chase it. After you are done in the dog park you can walk around the lake and have a bite to eat at Kathy May's Lake Cafe. Your dogs can sit with you on the outside of the patio area. I actually like that area best, as it is closer to the lake for a perfect view. Beware if ducks and squirrels if your dog likes to chase them. They are everywhere.
I like that it's huge and there are tons of water faucets everywhere. Only thing is that it's all dirt, there's no grass. Doesn't seem like a ton of dogs and owners come to this dog park in comparison to others I've been to, I'm assuming because of the all dirt and no grass situation. Nonetheless, it's nearby and my dog likes coming here. There's a children's park next to it and apparently a lake where you can fish.
Love this park! Very large park with 2 separate yards for large and small dogs. Lots of trees, places to sit and nice people. Very well maintained by devoted volunteers.
