I went in to see Dr.Penera for a painful ingrown toenail. I was very nervous due to past experience with an urgent care doctor who was very rough & caused me immense pain and very slow healing. I can not recommend Dr.Penera & his wonderful assistant Brent enough! From getting me in early, to working gently, so very throughly & kindly, I am beyond amazed by the level of care I received! My toenail had this issue for a long time, so it was recommended I get a X-ray to rule out infection of the bone or anything else potentially health threatening. X-rays were taken on site in the same appointment as well as a clipping of the nail was sent to the laboratory. Dr.Penera called me a couple hours after to give me the X-ray results & then a few days later I got a call from them to let me know about the lab results of the clipping. I don’t think In all of my years of going to doctors for various issues have I ever had such Awesome care! Professional, quick, efficient, kind & just Amazing! I was healed up in 3-4 days, pain level was low & I didn’t need pain meds unlike my last horrid experience.I am sooo very grateful to of found Dr. Penera, Brent & the rest of Health Care partners of H.B.! I definitely recommend these professionals & sparing yourself potential damage & extreme pain by going to those who do not specialize in Podiatry & do not offer this type of level of care!

I went to see Dr. Penera for an ingrown toe nail removal. I was very nervous for the procedure, but he made me feel comfortable and assured me I would be fine and it would not hurt. The numbing hurt a little bit but was definitely bearable. He asked through out the whole procedure if I was doing okay and to let him know if I was feeling any pain. I missed my follow up appointment as I could not make it and the nurses told me I could not reschedule as he was booked up for 2 weeks. Because I missed this appointment, Dr. Panera personally called me to check in and I explained that I could not make it in for my follow up. He squeezed me in anyways for a quick visit the very next day, even though the nurses told me he couldn't. I had a great experience with him and would recommend him to others! Thanks Dr. Penera!
