Gracie Barra headquarters is an amazing academy to train at! I’ve been training there for over a decade and I always have a positive experience every time I train. The staff and students there are very nice and have great energy making me look forward to training everyday! I would highly recommend you stop by and begin your Jiu-Jitsu journey.

GBHQ must be one of the best Jiu Jitsu gyms I have come across. I've been attending Headquarters for about 5yrs. The instructors are by far the best in the grappling world, yet so humble.

Not only do they inspire you, but they care about your well-being. They make it safe for everyone to train, they create a family environment and coach you throughout your Jiu Jitsu journey.

Joining Headquarters has been the best thing that has happened to me. I have become more confident, have lost weight, gained self-defense skills but most importantly, I have forged friendships that will last me a lifetime.

PERFECT TIMING!
I first came to this school for the first time last year but my son was not ready as he was still very young. We just recently came back and saw that this school (that was already so nice) was completly remodeled and it looks and feels incredible. They instuctors and staff are lovely and so easy to talk to but most importantly they make my son feel special and acknowledged daily.

I first started coming to GBHQ as a competitor from Australia and it has always been an phenomenal experience from the instruction, to the cleanliness and professionalism. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing, the staff and the students are very welcoming and it always feels like a home away from home. I now live in the states and the community that train here have now become my second family. Would recommend to anyone of any gender and age it’ll definitely change their life

I’ve started practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu 4 months ago, as a way to keep in shape. I told myself I would commit to 3 classes per week. I decided to enroll at the Gracie Barra Headquarters mostly because my boyfriend was already going here. I was already familiar with some Professors and Coaches before enrolling and I already liked the vibe and they way everyone was so nice and polite and warm, even though I was an outsider to BJJ.

Long story short, I went to my trial class and right there and then I decided to join. After the first week, my initial 3 days started to feel like they weren’t enough. I was having too much fun and became super eager to learn.

Practicing at GBHQ is the best, for many reasons: every day you get to practice with different people and learn from them, you can have different professors that give you useful input on the moves, you have the opportunity to practice under some of the best people in the sport, you make a lot of new friends and you are called by your name, even though there are close to a thousand students here. The feeling of being part of a big family and to know that you have their support no matter what feels amazing.
I feel very lucky to have started BJJ and to be able to attend classes at GBHQ.

My advice to anyone considering joining is the same I was given on my trial class: just try it and have fun!
