“One of the tastiest spot for Sukiyaki. I always have their spicy sukiyaki soup base with otoro fat belly meat. The meat is dipped with garlic, onions and sauce which makes it more tasteful. I also love their peanut and raw egg dipping sauces. The restaurant is a bit small for party more than 4; therefore, reservation is helpful. Try to avoid peak times as this place is popular in Irvine.”

“Friendly staff and restaurant is newly rennovated but often when i'm at the drive-thru they tell me to park at the front and someone brings the order out. Drive-thru customers end up parking in front on the wrong side of the street. I even had a dine-in customer give me ugly looks for blocking the street in front when they wanted to cross. “The food here is super tasty and flavorful though I think the english translation on the menu can use some work. I ordered crispy belly, turns out it's not crispy at all but the flavor and texture were really good. It was spicy, but not so much that you just taste the burn. The "bean curd" or tofu clay pot dish was just as nice. The service here is slow and can be hard to get the staff to understand, but I don't fault for that.”

“This comes from a non-fish-eater's perspective so take for what you will :) I have ordered from this place many times for catering and it has always worked well. It is pricey but that is expected of sushi. I went here recently for lunch and they have a very nice atmosphere. The wait staff is all very friendly and good about taking care of everyone. I got the marinated short rib and it was ok. Not the best I'd ever had, though, and certainly not 20 bucks good which is what the lunch meal costs. I can understand that price for a sushi lunch but not short rib (especially not that little meat) and not teriyaki chicken either. Other than that it seemed great. Miso soup was good and the tempura was tasty. As long as you expect to pay 20 bucks+ for your lunch, knock yourself out”

The chadul is vibrant with color and doesn't break apart before you start cooking. The LA Kal-bi is packed with flavor that lingers with you way after you eat. The cleanliness of the restaurant puts us at ease when we sit down to enjoy our meals. It's just delicious.
