    Great, solid techniques with an abundance of conditioning routines. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a sweat-inducing workout combined with practical skills.

    Martial arts schools tend to teach one style. You go to a Jiu Jitsu school for Jiu Jitsu, Krav Maga gym for Krav, etc. There's nothing wrong with pursuing one martial art. For self-defense, however, more is necessary. Master Kirt is a martial arts expert with street perspective and a polymathic understanding of fighting. He teaches the most effective blend of Krav Maga, Jiu Jitsu, and San Soo techniques for self-defense. In other words, it's dirty street fighting for good people. If you want to learn how to defend your life, South Coast Self Defense is your school.

    Great stand up and ground training. Kirt does a great job at breaking down the techniques to real life situations. Great training for all ages!

    Kirt is an amazing instructor. He has a unique teaching ability to blend in his many years of martial arts technique and discipline with a great environment for learning. Kirt breaks down technical maneuvers into easy to follow steps which help the novice and advanced individual learn quickly. I was looking for a martial art for self defense that was not going to beat my body up. I found it with Kirt and Krav Maga @ South Coast Self Defense! Highly recommend training with him!
