I have been seeing Shirley for almost two years now, and I am
very grateful for the help she has given me. Not only is Shirley
exceptionally kind, she is an excellent therapist.

As a practicing Psychologist in the Irvine area, I have referred several of my clients to Shirley for medication management as well as hypnosis therapy. Shirley Furman is a unique therapist and unlike any provider I have worked with. I turned to her for help with anxiety and sleep, and to help me wean off a medication that I had been on for twenty years.

She is a good listener, compassionate, and skilled in both allopathic and homeopathic medicine. When I urgently needed help (on more than one occasion), she found time to meet with me on short notice. Her training as a nurse practitioner (one step below an MD) allows her to prescribe medications if needed, but she is also skilled in many therapeutic techniques, including hypnotherapy (customized relaxation and meditation recordings), CBTi (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia), and other homeopathic remedies. She is essentially a psychiatrist therapist in one.

Referred by my doctor, I went to Shirley for hypnotherapy to quit smoking. Chantix, nicotine replacement (gum, patches and vaping) weren't working. I didn't know what to expect, but after my session I just...stopped...smoking. (It's been nearly two months as I type this and no nicotine in any form.) I still have urges, but have been able to overcome them easily. I've used the recording of our session a few times as well, and that's been very helpful.
