I had seen the Mayweather studio open and wanted to try it out but was hesitant as I’ve been to a boxing gym before where it was intimidating and not so friendly; so when my friend said she had signed up I went with her to try it out and was so happy that I did! This studio is boxing + fitness and everybody has smiles when you walk through the door, greeting you and it sets the tone for a great workout!

Super friendly staff, Andrea had signed me up and was very patient and supportive with all my random questions. I’m always looking forward to seeing her when I get there! Depending on what day/time you’ll probably see Coach Ian aka the Bearded Barbarian or Victor. They both will ensure you have a great workout, keep you motivated, help you with your form and there to help every step of the way. What’s great is you can go at your own pace, everybody from the Mayweather staff to other members are very friendly and supportive. Since going I’ve felt so much more energy and actually enjoy sweating and getting a good work out and haven’t felt like I’m forcing myself to go. If you’re thinking about it, just go for it! They have the first class free so that’s a great way to check it out for yourself! Unleash your inner champ!

I have the best experience at Mayweather. The trainers are great, the music is energizing. And particularly, victor takes the time to help me with my form and gives me confidence to feel comfortable boxing. For anyone, it’s a great work out!

Mayweather Boxing and Fitness is a fabulous addition to the Newport Coast area. The facilities are clean and equipment is top notch. I like the heart rate monitoring to track the level of effort. The thing that really sets it apart is the staff and coaches. Andrea at front desk is friendly, welcoming and always encouraging. Coach Ian is the best, he has high energy and makes the classes fun, even though we are working so hard. He is very knowledgeable and helps with technique. I also train with him privately and WOW, that is a tough 30 minutes, but I always feel accomplished afterwards! I haven’t trained with Victor, but I am sure he is great, as well! Other members are friendly and supportive, which makes the whole experience really nice. This is the most consistent I have been working out in a long time, because I enjoy it so much. I always look forward to my class or training sessions and am sad when I have to miss out! They have a new class that is just fitness (no boxing), and I think it will be a great addition to their schedule. Highly recommend!

This is a great workout. It’s a mixture of boxing, strength and cardio. The instructors (Ian and Victor) are top notch. The classes are for everyone. I was a beginner and very hesitant to try it, but I’m glad I did. It’s done wonders for my confidence. Whether you’re a beginner, advanced or somewhere in between, you’ll get a good workout. The environment is clean and the staff is very friendly, always greeting you with a smile. If you’re looking for an overall workout, this is the place.

Wow! What a great workout! The facility is clean, well equipped and well laid out. No cramped stinky dark rooms! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and make you feel really good about coming in. They know their target audience make the workout super accessible to all levels.
