Great place to walk with family. Trail is a narrow, and just a bit of elevation while coming back. But its good bushy hike and very relaxing with birds chirping along the way.
Nice trails and look out points.
Good trail, well kept and marked. 3 hours round trip at a slow pace.
Great little unknown turn out off the right as you're going up the hill in the direction of Newport Coast. Paved paths wind along the crest thru the scrub brush with a scattering of gazbo, picnic benches and benches. Nice view down to the coast and parts of Newport Harbor. (Also dirt trails down in to gully that I've yet to explore.)
Great, well-maintained trail. I took my mountain bike there for the first time and missed the sign at the Poppy Ave entrance that the trail was one-way. But the neighborhood Karen helped me realize my mistake and even took my picture to make sure I didn’t make that mistake again. If you’re a safe cyclist who can moderate speed and follow the one way, it’s a wonderful trail. Just don’t expect the local hikers to welcome you.
