Best OC Chiropractic / Placentia Chiropractic

Dr. Judy Rotuna is a great chiropractor. She totally knows her stuff, explains it throughly, and makes you feel better. Dr. Mortensen is only there one day a week, so I’ve only seen him once, but he did a fine job. The office did X-rays on my first visit and treated me accordingly, but Dr. Judy always went above and beyond. She really takes her time to adjust you, and tells you exactly which bones she’s adjusting when she does.
She and I did not really get along, and would blame issues on things without solid reason, which is why I’ve docked a star. She comes off a little strong, and isn’t the best at interpersonal communication. I’m 25 and have had type one diabetes since I was 12, but it’s very well controlled and I have no signs of any complications from it at this point. Yet Dr. Judy blamed the over-active nerves in my shoulders on diabetic neuropathy. How could I have neuropathy in my shoulders if I don’t even have it in my feet? Other doctors have debunked this. I also went through an intensive pain management program, and had to stop care for a month. The program wanted to eliminate other factors affecting my care to pinpoint what things were making a difference. Dr. Judy immediately jumped to conclusions, saying medical doctors don’t understand chiropractic, and wouldn’t get the benefits it could bring. She wouldn’t even let me explain that chiropractic was one of the treatments they were suggesting, but wanted to work their way there first— control all the variables as I worked through the program.
Despite our interpersonal issues, Dr. Judy really is a great chiropractor, and the office staff is great, too.

The staff are professional and friendly. It is easy to schedule an appointment as they have hours that accommodate the masses. I have been extremely pleased with Placentia Chiropractic and whole heartedly recommend this practice.
I see Dr Rotuna, she is very good! She explained my xray results thoroughly in a way that a non-medically trained person can understand. Dr Rotuna uses just the right amount of force too. Never too hard, yet firm enough to get the desired results.
I have also had massage therapy with Laurie. She is able to find the problem areas and get the knots to release. She also uses just the right amount of pressure, not too soft and not too hard.

I stumbled across Placentia Chiropractic Center awhile back when looking for a good chiropractor in the area. I have found them to very affordable and professional. Dr. Mortensen has helped me with issues with sciatica. The Dr. and staff are all very helpful and friendly. I am so glad I found this place when I was looking for a chiropractor. I would highly recommend it to others.
