A flagpole is a result of the Scout Project, and rolling undulating hills of the trail resulted in the hiker's giving it a nickname Roller Coaster Trail. you can always enjoy magnificent sunsets overlooking Dana Point Harbor from here. Great workout of the medium effort. The trail is wide and easily could be used after dark. Snakes were spotted a few times here, and you can see hawks hunting on many occasions
