Smiles Advantage - Dr. Jerry K. Wu, DMD, Inc.

I took my mother-in-law to see Dr Wu, and he did a very good job on her, so I decided to give him a go as well. I should note here that I absolutely HATE going to the dentist. Initially I had a broken filling, and I'd left it so long the tooth was in a bad way, and it required a crown. It was more work than I expected, and one thing I appreciated was the Dr Wu took a lot of time to explain what was going on, why the treatment was needed, etc. I'm sometimes suspicious that dentists do more work than they really need to, just so they can make more money, but I've never gotten that impression from Dr Wu. After that tooth was taken care of, it turned out I also had some other fillings, and so I got those done too. I can't say I exactly enjoyed the experience (I hate dentists remember) but I can honestly say it wasn't actually that bad or painful. In other words, it was much better than I was afraid of, and didn't hurt or cause troubles. I'll certainly continue to use him for future dental work, and that's the best recommendation I can give! He's not exactly local to me, but I'm more than happy to drive the extra distance just to have a reasonable experience at the dentist!

About 2 months ago, my tooth fell out of my mouth after I bit into a pickle--no joke. I knew that tooth was vulnerable because I got kicked hard in the mouth playing football many years ago. Dr. Wu made time to fix my emergency even though he had a packed schedule. Several visits were required to go from a temporary to a permanent bridge, and each step was consistently pleasant because of Dr Wu and the friendly office staff. The end results were absolutely fantastic. Dr Wu is really friendly and he also went to med school at the University of Pennsylvania. An Ivy League dentist working on my teeth is fine with me. I strongly recommend giving him a call if you are looking for a dentist.

Dr Wu is best! I would highly recommend anyone to check out with Dr. Wu.

I'm very glad I've found this dental office, Dr Wu was very professional and took the time to explain the procedure step by step, did not rush me nor push me to get services I didn't need like my previous practitioner.
The staff were friendly and helpful, the office was super clean and neat and parking was easy.
I really like this place and would definitely go back for my next visit.

I can't say enough about Dr. Jerry K Wu DMD, owner of Smiles Advantage in Tustin!! He purchased Dr. Mark Miller's office and all of us, me included were very wary of anyone coming in to replace Mark who so many of us went to for so many years!

That said, I can tell anyone considering going to Dr. Wu that you are in GREAT HANDS!!! Most recenty, my nightguard cracked and while I was able to superglue it back together, I knew I needed a new one and Dr. Wu took new impressions for another one. He had to have me back 2 times because both times the bottom nightguard didn't fit and both times he took brand new impressions and sent them back to the lab. He didn't charge me for any of this time, and I didn't blame him because he figured out that the new style of the nightguard really needed to be on my top teeth, not my bottom teeth. He has been so patient with me, and when the new one came back, he spent a good hour adjusting it so it fit perfectly and then told me to call him and come back in if anything at all was off. SO NICE!!

I wasn't rushed, I wasn't made to feel I was bothering them - even though it was time out of my day, they were so nice and accomodating. While I miss Mark, I now feel very sure that he handed off his practice to a wonderful new dentist who is doing an amazing job and is very similar in style. Not pushy, doesn't sell you stuff you don't need, is very patient, and has kept a GREAT staff!!!
