Creative Journeys Preschool

Karen is the best and I could not have asked for a better teacher for our 2 year old son. Within a couple of weeks of being there, he has grown so much. I love and appreciate the amount of attention and support he gets, which you can't find at a typical day care center. I really love her philosophy on teaching and encouraging play outdoors. If you are looking for a fabulous at home daycare, this is it!

We are so thankful to have found Creative Journeys Preschool! My daughter started attending CJP at 2.5 years old and now my son attends as well. Throughout the years of multiple schools, this is the most amazing school we have found. I can see my son thriving! We love that Karen provides a comfortable, homey feel, but has also created such an amazing learning environment for her kids! It has allowed both of my children to grow and learn in a loving atmosphere. She takes the kids out everyday for playground exploration and nature walks through the neighborhood. Karen is amazing at validating each child's learning process, fosters pride and satisfaction in their creative artwork, and encourages endless amounts of exploration. The kids have easy access to supplies and learning material, and are consistently inspired and encouraged to direct their own learning. Ms. Karen is always so great at guiding them through their own interests, thoughts, and observations. We love that the learning is flexible, open-ended, and always hands-on! She is always open to discussion and somehow makes everything a fun learning lesson! We are so thankful to have found Creative Journeys Preschool!

After moving and enrolling in several daycares since our oldest was in infancy, once we found Ms. Karen and Creative Journeys, we never looked back! We have been at this school for 5 years now and all 3 of my kids thrived immensely under the loving care and guidance of Ms. Karen. She has guided them to advance in their curiosity and creativity, to observe and appreciate nature, to read and write, to play and dance freely, to learn good habits, to learn their emotions and how to manage them appropriately. She provides nutritious meals and lets the kids join the fun in the kitchen. She’s also helped potty train them with great patience. My children have a different developmental trajectory than many, and Ms. Karen has provided immeasurable counsel to me as a parent and friend! My older kids still want to visit Ms. Karen and update her on their latest, and we plan to stay in touch after all the kids have graduated 😊

Ms. Karing (Karen), has cared, taught, and prepared two of our children for kindergarten, and life. Their daily routine consists of outdoor, and indoor activities where all their senses are engaged. I believe a great gauge of a provider is when your child between the ages of 2 through 5 asks the parent daily 'did you know' in an exciting (can't wait to tell you) way. My two children love Creative Journeys! Ms. Karen helped my socially anxious child feel at ease and comfortable around her peers. My daughter has definitely blossomed and Ms. Karen has had such a positive impact on her social emotional development.

My son is physically SUPER active and really enjoys the daily outdoor excursions. He even comes home with different crafts and other creative outlets that he channels his energy into. This wouldn't happen at home, he wouldn't have the patience to sit and do crafts with me. Ms. Karen is our child whisperer!
