“I called on a Saturday afternoon expecting to be told they couldn't take my boys (memorial day weekend) but to my surprise the guy on the phone Ty, told me i could bring them in a few hours! When we got there, it was your typical barbershop playing music, a tv, some clothing items/products for sale, clean and organized. There were 2 barbers (both with clients) and a guy sitting, waiting to be seen. We got there around 4pm. My oldest has a curly top so he just got a skin fade and beard shaping and my 15 yr old got his hair cut and shaped into a small fro. TY did an amazing job! I will definitely be bringing them back!”

“I have never had hair extensions before, but I’m so glad that I found Hair Extension Studio in Garden Grove, Orange County! A little bit of backstory about my hair, I have naturally dark brown hair, but I currently have my hair balayaged. Last year, I had platinum blonde hair and I was not happy with the results, since most of my hair fell off. Therefore, I decided to cut all my hair off to chin length. I didn’t feel myself with short hair, so I decided to get my hair extensions with Hair Extension Studio with Isaac and Susan. I came in for a free consultation, where they explained the process and different qualities of hair extensions they offer. First off, their hair extension technique is called the “flat track system” with tiny beads. They do NOT use heat or glue to attach the hair extension which makes it a plus since it is safer and more durable for your hair. There are two different qualities of hair extensions. The first one is the remiprocessed hair, which is the hair that comes in every color from the manufacturer. They also carry VIRGIN quality hair, which makes them special. I opted to get the virgin hair and have them color match my hair. They did a wonderful job in getting the virgin hair extensions as close as possible to my already dyed hair. They ordered the virgin hair overseas which took about 5-7 business days. They have all the hair in the studio, but my particular hair type had to be ordered. When I came in for my actual hair extension appointment, they welcomed me and made me feel comfortable in my seat. My hair extensions were 2 bundles, because of my hair being so short. The entire process was about 3 hours, but they provided me with the knowledge and education on how to take care of my hair extensions. I felt so much joy seeing myself with my dream hair! The hair extensions blends extremely well with my natural hair, and you can barely see my short hair. For the first couple days, I felt like my hair extensions were a little heavy for my head, but it’s normal because I have never had them before, and I went from short hair to long hair in 3 hours. However, I am extremely happy with the results and I feel like myself! I am planning to keep my hair extensions long term while waiting for my natural hair to grow long again. I have been diligent in my hair extension care and I purchased all the products they recommended for my hair type. Depending on the hair type, they have a system and recommended products to help keep your natural hair healthy and to allow it to grow. It is important to come in for maintenance every 4 weeks (recommended) depending on how fast your hair grows. During maintenance, Isaac and Susan check to see that there are no knots and to tighten and change the beads. Overall, my hair extensions feel like it is a part of me, and definitely boosted my self esteem. It feels so natural and it is so easy to maintain with proper hair care. If you’re looking for a place to get hair extensions, this is definitely the place to go! Just set up a hair consultation with them, and they will show you their options, make suggestions, and make sure you look fabulous!”

“Sass is amazing! Best hair experiences I've ever had. I go to Sass for several reasons. 1) She knows how to cut and style curly hair. 2) Her prices are very reasonable. 3) She does amazing vivid colors. But most importantly 4) She really cares about her clients and takes the time to really focus on what her clients want. That was the short version for people not interested in reading a ton. But I'm going to go into more depth for those who want more detail. Either way check out her instagram, cause the hair is amazing! 1) It is surprisingly difficult to find someone who can cut and style curly hair (especially someone who does vivid colors and can manage curly hair). I've known a lot about styling curly hair in the past, but she has taught me quite a few new skills. She also recommends products and will not try to sell you the most expensive product in the salon, but pays attention to your financial limitations and what your hair actually needs. 2) For all the time and effort she puts into each client, her prices are incredible reasonable. I've gone to other people and asked them to do less on my hair, and they've charged me far more. If you go in and ask for a cut, bleach, and vivid color it's not going to be the cheapest thing you are paying for, but it is so much better than any other quotes I've gotten AND she spends more time making sure I get exactly what I want which is something these other people have never done. 3) I've recently become obsessed with dying my hair with vivid colors. Each time I ask for something Sass tells me exactly what she needs to do to get that color. She also remembers the colors she's done on me before and adjusts the color for the next time so it's something new and different! 4) The part I really care about is how much time and effort she puts into my hair every time I go in. She does not take shortcuts for the sake of time and makes sure she is giving you exactly what you asked for and what she promises. I also am not one to love chatting with a hairstylist, but I always enjoy my chats with Sass. Sitting in her chair (even for hours with the cutting, and bleaching, and color, and styling) I am neither bored nor pressured to feel like I have to carry on a conversation when I don't want to. Basically, Sass is the best hairstylist I've ever gone to and I don't know why you are still reading this and haven't already contacted her to schedule an appointment. She also does men's hair too! She really has an incredible range of skills and is just amazing.”

“The first thing that I noticed was the environment. It's vintage and very eclectic, which made me pause and look around. It threw me off because of the name. However, in Orange County, it is definitely 'a unique barbershop'! They are a full-service establishment, I believe. I deliberately sought slow timeslots. My barber was Eric. The one acting shy in one of my photos, like he just got a hot tip on his phone. I wasn't sure, so I tried not to take pictures of barbers with clients. Everyone there were apparently dedicated to their profession, approachable, and helpful. This was my first visit. A shout out to the front desk. Sorry I forgot your name, but I think you're in a picture. My only non-praise were the lack of parking and ATM only has 20s and that mandates your tip for a $30 cut. Back when I used to use barbers, a cut was $10. Geez!”
