“I'm a freshman at UCI and I've never felt so depressed and anxious in my life. I consider myself a pretty high achieving individual but college gave me a reality check. I used to excel in school but now I struggle sooooo much. I'm very career driven and I genuinely want to study and learn but my anxiety gets the best of me. I would set aside my weekends just to study but instead I would curl up in my bed full of anxiety... unable to do anything but cry about how I mentally don't have the strength to overcome my anxiety to study. I felt so miserable and helpless. I got free therapy at UCI and my therapist referred me to this place. She didn't have any recommendations so I just booked the first available nurse practitioner? I'm not sure if they're all equal but maybe I just got lucky with mine because she has been life changing for me.
