“One of the tastiest spot for Sukiyaki. I always have their spicy sukiyaki soup base with otoro fat belly meat. The meat is dipped with garlic, onions and sauce which makes it more tasteful. I also love their peanut and raw egg dipping sauces. The restaurant is a bit small for party more than 4; therefore, reservation is helpful. Try to avoid peak times as this place is popular in Irvine.”

“My dad and I stopped in to the Wild Artichoke in July when I visited him for his birthday. Immediately, the atmosphere struck me as comfortably elegant. Everything was clean and the lighting was soft. Our server’s name was Rose and she was very informative and kind. My dad had a specitaly item on the menu and he said that it was amazing. I’m vegan, and I’m used to just needing to order a side item to accommodate for myself. However, Rose and also Shaun, one of the chefs, went out of their way to make sure I had a fantastic, custom, vegan meal and dining experience. They also expertly paired our food with one of the best beers I’ve ever tasted. Will definitely be back when I visit again.”

The food was delicious and brilliantly paired with a subtle Cabernet that allowed the flavors in the food to pop. Only negative aspect was the electronic music playing, but that will not prevent me from going back.”

“Wife and I have been going here for 10 years at a rate of about 20 visits a year, so we are giving feedback after 200 or so visits. Overall the service is good, the food is good, and the prices are good for what you get. The atmosphere is simple and decor is plane. It's a whole-in-the-wall, mom and pop kind of place. It's not fancy at all. Sometimes it gets crowded and it's not very big as it's in a strip center. It's also our #1 go to for chinese food. My mom visits a few times a year and always want to eat here. I rarely give out 5 stars but really I'd give it a 4.5 if I could.”

They offer sand wheelchairs if you would like to take the elder statesman (woman) of your group on a beach walk after you dine. Plus, they have a lovely village with purely Californian history. Usually, I would give this a horrible review to keep people away but it is Christmas and I want to stay on the nice list.”
