“Everything was perfect 👌 : the food, the service, the setting and atmosphere. Basilic is located in a posh area of Newport Beach, so walking around before and after dinner was a pleasure. I invited my girlfriend there as a surprise celebration of having been together six 6⃣ fabulous months, and she absolutely loved it! She asked me why I am being so nice to her, and I told her that it's because she deserves it -- as simple as that 😊. We shared a bottle of excellent wine 🍷, appetizers and entrees -- all cooked to perfection. The chef (Renaud ?) came out to greet us in person. We left super satisfied and we'll definitely go back. Basilic is now on my list of Google Maps Favorite places 😃.”

The bonds we formed with the other parents taught me a lifetime of teamwork. Parent Participation is a wonderful concept. Did you Serra was one of the very first and vanguard for other Parent Participation schools? It's not for everyone, because you have to be involved. I am still on PTA boards, for our grand children's schools, a direct result of my days at Serra.”

But there's fun colorful lights and large screen TVs. It's casual and comfortable. The food is standard fare and nothing extraordinary but decent. Most importantly, this place is open late which makes it a great option if you have shopped until you dropped at the nearby outlet mall. This place is really super affordable PLUS you get free Thai iced tea, with refills! What is there to complain about! Initially the server got one of our orders wrong, but they promptly replaced it and gave us free dessert at the end. Really can't complain about the service and the low prices and that's why they get 5 stars. Great customer experience. Very convenient that they are open late. I expect to be back.”
