Beautiful National Park! Only 3-4h away from LA! Must go check out to breathe the pure air! Officers are very nice! Inside the park there’s only one gas station during winter so keep that in mind!
Beautiful Park. I suggest to maximize your time in the park to go early! We drove through and did General Sherman's tree at about 1 pm and it took about 2.5 hours. We also went in July which is off peak! We did Tokopah falls hike the next day which was very nice took about 3 hours out and back with 45 minutes spent at the falls! The Lodge pole market at beginning of hike has the best souvenir selection hands down along with all the staples you will need for hiking or camping!
Full disclosure: I work on the Forest. That said, I can honestly say that the Sequoia National Forest is one of my favorite spots on Earth, and it's absolutely gorgeous! There's a ton of stuff to do, as long as you enjoy outdoor activities, and the scenery is simply stunning. If you like spending time outside, you'll love it here!
Is a must in your life. As all National Park is a 10, but this one... It will blow your mind when you see the big trees... The sequoias are astonishing, you can't believe that they exist. Thank you for have this one life, and I want to say thank you for have the luck to be there.
Thank you my love to let me live my dream.
Snow-capped mountains popped in and out of view as we hiked along the trails near Buck Rock and the Meadows. The sights and smells of lush fir trees had such a calming effect on us. My partner couldn't believe how beautiful and blue the sky looked out here in the Sierras.
We stopped by in early April, before many of the side roads were opened, and thoroughly enjoyed hiking with our dog out and around the forest. I would definitely recommend visiting Sequoia National Forest, it's an amazing place.
