Great for pictures very open area for hiking away from the general public, everything from beginner stage hikes to intense level 10 hikes. Also great for mountain biking/ dirtbiking.
This trail can be as easy or as hard as you make it. Clearly marked parking on Foothill and handicapped parking at the trailhead. The main trail is very wide and pretty safe as far as staying away from snakes as long as you stay centered. There are some smaller secondary trails to try as well. On a clear day the view is amazing! I’ve only done a short part of it but what I’ve done has been great.
Nice hike out. Never made it all the way out but this was a nice escape. Coming from Colorado I was hoping to get out for a hike while out here and this did not disappoint. Plenty of places to get a view with the various trails. Along the canyon there was plenty of shade. There was quite a few people on the trail. We really enjoyed getting out with our group.
Very easy and user friendly trail. The first stage is like half mile paved wide trail that looks like a driveway and then you can choose a dirt trail, both with a great natural view. The only thing that is not so great is the parking, than goes along the street and Saturday is almost impossible to get a spot. The best day will be Sunday or during the week.
Great hiking & trail running options. The road is easy to follow and there are steep trail options as well.
I did a 12 mile loop to the radio towers where you hike straight up, then run the road back down.
