Took my nephew here b4 closing time, but the staff insisted on looking at the new fossil museum they had just opened to the public, it was amazing, the man theere was so knowlegable & was very patient even tho i
t was close to closing time. Will be back..
I went on three field trips here as a kid. Loved it as an adult. The best part of the tour is the 12 rocks you can collect. It's much harder now that i'm over 5 feet away from the ground as opposed to 3 feet as a kindergartner but still recommend.
Great place to bring the kids to visit. There is great information on the history of Jurupa Valley, great selection of fossils and rocks. It's fun to walk the trails and to see all the dinosaur statues. Great for birthdays parties as well. I definitely recommend visiting, you'll love seeing this fun and informative place.
My son and I love coming here. It may not have a ton of frills, but there's a lot of educational value. Not only can you learn about the historical wildlife in the area, you can discover some recent history in your community. The staff is fun and great with kids. There is a special place in my heart for the Cultural Center.
Good place to visit for a day tour. There were three tours for visitors on Saturday at 10 AM,12 PM and 2 PM. We took the 12 PM one. The first informative session about the rocks and minerals helps us to relate to the place we are visiting. Then there is a tour of various Dinosaur exhibits with the guide. Then we go to the top of the cactus garden where there are few more exhibits. Lastly there is a family activity of gathering 12 minerals each, where they are scattered...this part is more fun. The tour ends with the earth science museum located just at the start. The museum is well maintained and interesting. There's a shop for stones and stuff. Overall a good experience.
Good place to wander around. Trails all over the property. No cost to enter. Tours are $9. I just walked around and took some photos. Museum is nice, with displays covering geology, local inhabitants and animals. Children will enjoy. Huge tortoise near the gift shop.
