We buried dad here. This place is very well maintained and has beautiful green grass throughout the cemetery. You can look up burial site location through kiosk located just outside the main building. Also you can walk around and read about war heros.
My husband and I met with his childhood friend and his wife at Riverside National Cemetery to both pay respects to our friend's mother, the last of our parents to join the other three, and to memorialize the two WWII couples who were best friends for 75 years and are now completely together for eternity. The Cemetery Staff was not only professional with our requests but also respectful in suggesting how we might want to proceed with our memorial. The experience was just perfect, and our parents would be proud. Our own experience, and that of our friends, was enhanced by staying at the Ayers Hotel (4 minutes away) and sharing a great meal nearby at Applebee's. We were able to visit and remember wonderful stories of the "folks".
Very well organized and maintained. They always have the families of loved ones in mind. Of particular interest is the Medal of Valor monument. Every single CMH winner from the Civil War until now is listed. The listings are by each war the United States has participated in. Honorees include Theodore Roosevelt and his son, TR Jr., and Alvin York, and Audie Murphy. The grounds and lawns are always well kept. Memorial Day brings many visitors and every grave has a small american flag. Worth a visit.
My husband and I visited my great aunt and uncle and my cousin over the summer. Was so easy to find them and we had some assistance from employees!! Beautiful place to visit and be interned at.
Outstanding!!!!! My folk's service was this morning. I have not seen a more beautiful resting place. The staff showed such respect and kindness. Hats off to the grounds crews and those that gently handled mom and dad's service.

Riverside National Cemetery is one of our nation's hallowed grounds. And during this time of Memorial Day weekend, the placement of American flags across its hundreds of acres, as well as the numerous fresh flowers is almost emotionally overwhelming. We were here to view my dad's resting place in the CM Columbarium section.
