(April 14, 2019, 9:37 am)You can park along the housing tract but be courteous, please take any trash or empty water bottles back with you, and keep quiet if you arrive early in the morning. It’s about 40mins/1 hr to the top, south point of double Butte. There is a brass geological plaque dated in 1939 that is very cool to see. Sunrise is beautiful, but it is a natural habitat so be aware of all local species of critters and such and stick to the trails.
