“I can’t begin to explain how grateful I am for Silverado Hospice. My dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2020 at 49 years old and when it came time to have hospice services, my family was recommended Silverado by Scripps. The nurse my parents had interviewed was the one. Right off the bat my pops knew she was the right one for him. But it wasn’t even for just him. Throughout the entire process Audrey was standing tall and kept us all in a positive mind. The sleepless nights I had while taking care of my dad were accompanied by her through all hours, just to give me conversation and have open ears for what I had to say. My dad, and my entire family were in the right hands. No matter the hour of the night, if I sent her a text she’d come to the house to assist with whatever we needed or just be there as extra help on Stand by. It was great to know that we had someone to rely on and that did everything with smile on her face. Over a year later we still communicate with her and have developed a bond with her through the short experience we had. The amount of compassion shown made the entire experience that should have been hell, a bit easier. As for the preparedness of the company as a whole, anything we needed we got at a moments notice. Prescriptions were conveniently delivered to the house 24 hours a day and when medical equipment was needed it was provided. Without Silverado, I’m not sure how my family would have made it possible. So thank you Silverado hospice, and thank you Audrey!”
