I recommend the Kang Family facilities and enjoy working with the administrators
My sister was well cared for, and it was obvious that her caregivers were concerned about her needs. The house on Treasure Way was always clean and neat, and David and Maria were always ready to remedy any problems that might arise.
My mom lived in Comforts of Home for 6 years as she declined due to dementia. The care and attention to detail they give each client is amazing.
Several times they contacted me with recommendations that they thought would help my mom be more comfortable, and each time their advice was spot on. They let me know about things I should discuss with my mom's doctor that I didn't even know was available, and each time was very helpful.
The last couple of years my mom lost her ability to hold a cup, yet they carefully made sure to hold the cup for her so that she was always hydrated. My mom was Catholic, and some of the care workers would say prayers with her at night, which she loved.
Thank you Maria for all of your care and help, and thank you for hiring such caring and smart employees to help my mom have a high quality of life, right until the end.
Within 24 hours I was required to find another care situation for my Mom. Scrambling, and luckily for me - I visited Comforts of Home and met with Maria. I visited other facilities, but, decided Comforts was the best. I believe my Mom was one of first to be cared for at Comforts, and they continued to care for my Mom for many years. My Mom had many challenges both mentally and physically - Comforts handled them all and in many ways became extended family.
I initially had a hard time placing my parent because there are so many different options for senior living. I decided on a smaller facility (six bed) because it was very home-like and my father got to know his caregiver very well. They always had fresh fruits and vegetables on hand. They serve the larger meal during the afternoon and normally soup/sandwich or something light in the evening. A couple times a week they had an activities director come in, as well as a guitarist. Not sure if they still do that. I enjoyed my experience there.
