Better Balance Acupuncture + Wellness

Acupuncture was the missing piece to my wellness toolkit! Knowing how beneficial acupuncture could be, I decided to overcome my fear of needles and booked my first appointment. After my first session with Karen Wright, I felt I had a better understanding of both acupuncture and how it integrated with diet and my overall well-being. Also, the plantar fasciitis I had been experiencing for months postpartum was finally gone!

Since then, acupuncture has become part of my monthly maintenance. Karen’s treatments have helped me with so much - getting pregnant again, holding me through all the ups and downs that come with pregnancy, and even healing me better than ever postpartum. Whether it’s pain, allergies, or hormonal-related, acupuncture helps with it all. Pair that with a super relaxing environment, I can’t recommend Karen and Better Balance enough!

My short & sweet review.
I started going to Better Balance in Oct 2020. My top 3 areas to address: unexplained infertility, chronic right shoulder pain & anxiety. After considering acupuncture for treatment and researching different offices in the area, as soon as I saw pictures of the inside of Better Balance I knew I was home. I booked my 1st appointment with Karen Wright. Let me just say that 8 months later, I don’t even recognize the version of myself that walked into her office that day. Depression, paranoia, exhaustion, aches & pains, weight gain are just a few of my long list of ailments that I remember. I was given the option to hear about nutrition and boy oh boy am I glad I did. I had NO IDEA how all of the things I was eating were negatively impacting my life. Weekly visits with acupuncture (& sometimes cupping), dietary changes and I quickly began seeing significant improvement in my daily life. More energy, more “chill” demeanor, more clarity, less inflammation, diminished stress levels, overall happiness, easier periods & more. You could say I was more “balanced” than ever. Infertility, still dealing with it. BUT I feel strongly that my body is in better shape and is finally ready to welcome pregnancy. Chronic right shoulder pain, acupuncture wasn’t doing the trick. Karen referred me out and stayed on top of me getting the help that I needed to heal. I can say for the first time in 6 years I am finally feeling relief. Anxiety— GONE! Like seriously I have not an ounce of anxiety in my life. Karen has changed my life. She is most caring, and is genuinely focused on healing from head to toe. I am grateful 💗

Kirsten is the best! I had never done acupuncture before seeing Kirsten and my journey has been going strong for over a year now. She’s so friendly it’s hard to not feel comfortable while someone’s sticking you with a bunch of needles. I’ve noticed so many differences in my overall wellness since seeing Kirsten! I highly recommend her and acupuncture.
Erin is also the best face that greets you as you walk through the door. Better balance is where it’s at!

Kirsten has the most incredible and contagious energy. She just has so much passion for her job and even more compassion for her patients. After my acupuncture treatments with Kirsten I not only began to have my energy return, but I also was filled with hope and excitement, which was something that I hadn't felt in years. My medical appointments before this had felt like a dead end, but Kirsten changed that. She takes such a beautiful holistic approach and is able to offer me advice in forms of nutrition and supplements in addition to the acupuncture treatments. She cares...she really cares about my life and what I hope to feel like each day. I am so grateful to be feeling better and looking forward to the progress and the appointments ahead.

Ive had people look at a multitude of my blood test results and tell me even though I felt very sick, that I was fine. Kirsten was able to look at my tongue, feel my pulses, really listen to me, and ask the right questions to fully understand what was going on to help me and I am beyond grateful.

I originally discovered Better Balance Acupuncture at their Midtown location. I am so happy that they opened this location as it is much closer to where I live giving me the opportunity to get treatments more often.

Kirsten seems to be really talented. I don't know a lot about acupuncture but I can barely feel it when she puts the needles in and takes them out. I usually get so relaxed on her table that I just fall asleep which is impressive for a guy like me who never naps.
