When we came to Hackard we were almost resigned to losing an inheritance our mother intended to leave to her four children. We did not have the funds to take on what promised to be a costly legal battle to win it back from a sibling who thought he could steal it all. They took on our case for a percentage of the claim and spent hours carefully investigating and preparing for it. They also brought in other experts in elder abuse, taking deposition and financial forensics. In the end, we obtained a substantial settlement that eliminated the need to go to trial. Although I'm sure we would have won, the settlement was enough to make the cost of a trial and a lenghthy disbursement process subject to other fees not worth the pain and aggravation it would have cost.
