ARC Honors Department (607E)

I write this from my transfer University after graduating from America River College. I graduated in May 2018 and began my final two years at UC Irvine in September 2018. Thanks to the experience and advice of the honors professors, students and staff, I had the best community college experience ever. I am now attending a fantastic university that offered me many incentives to come here. It was thanks to my enrichment in the Honors Program at ARC that I was offered the Regents Scholarship from UC Irvine. This scholarship came with many benefits such as priority registration for classes and guaranteed on campus housing for my wife and I for the duration of my stay at UCI. I was humbled to be a recipient of such an honorable award and I hope more students continue benefiting from the ARC Honors Program.

The honors program at American River College offers unparalleled opportunities for highly motivated students. I was lucky to be one of the students who experienced the academic richness offered through the challenging classes and professors who cultivate critical thinking skills in students. I would highly encourage students to look into the honors programs and see if they may benefit from the myriad of possibilities it offers.

I love American River College. It is by far the best community college in the Sacramento Region. I studied here for 3 years and thanks to the Honors Program, I was able to thrive here! I receive many prestigious scholarships and transferred to a top UC.
