  A oassis ithe heat great waterfeature play ground, shaded bbq areas , basketball, baseball, open grassy areas, lots of trees that probide great shade , nicely upkeptand maintained.

  I personally love this park, it's a great place to have a fun event with family and friends. There are areas for children of all ages and areas for adults as well. Although the water is never maintained and serves no purpose other than a nice view, the park is still taken care of regarding its bathrooms and garbage. It's fairly clean for a public park.

  Clean and quiet. Needed a place to sit and enjoy my coffee without noise or a random hobo interruption.

  Great park! Go west from the restrooms, along the north side of Laguna Creek, to Franklin Boulevard, then along the west side of Franklin Blvd to the south side of Laguna Creek, & then east back to the bridge back to the starting point.-- nice 2 miles walk!
  
  Sorry if it's wet.-- the south side trail along Laguna Creek is only gravel & sometimes just dirt.
  
  So, only the north side of the creek is asphalt-paved, so your route if wet is just the north side. ?

Pretty, sparse shade. Best to park at the park in Elk Grove Florin and start from there. Benches are here and there on the Laguna Creek Trail (north of Big Horn Blvd). Good walk for families. Park at North Laguna Creek Park and head south or Betschart or Wackman park and head north.
