Al's Place

A very interesting historic district. Today, most of the stores were closed but we did visit the ones that were open.

Great little place we've gone for years. It is an experience not only food! So few places now have any real character but Al's is ALL character. We love it and will go there forever! Nice little drive and always fun to explore Locke and surroundings 💛

Fine for what it was...good food with large portions though! Bread especially, and the homemade peanut butter (homemade PBJ came with my salad) and the delicious BLT! I'd come here again if I was already in the area. Good garlic fries 👍

Me wife and I stopped in a few weeks back and enjoyed lunch there. We met one of the new owners and had a chat with him. The steak was prepared excellent. In the old days back when the boys ran the place at lunch. They had 2 sizes of steak and the best part was they served a few slices of French Brad grilled in butter and had peanut butter as a spread.
They flattened a tablespoon flat and it was used for a speaker.
Brought back lots of memories.
