“I am due to graduate from Leroy in 2020; I have been here since my Freshman year. Overall, it's a good school. The teachers care about their students and are passionate about their jobs. The school currently operates on a quarterly block schedule, giving students four, hour-and-a-half-long classes per quarter. This allows students to complete a lot of their homework in class. The teachers also have office hours twice a week which allows students to make up work they may have missed, re-take tests, and get extra help if they need it. Additionally, the school's Business Pathway program is well put together, teaches students about entrepreneurship, and gives them many opportunities they wouldn't have had otherwise. However, the food given for school lunches is often of bad quality, but I hope that improves this year. Additionally, students are given way too many chances and often there are few real consequences for their actions. However, this is something I also hope improves this year. Overall, the good outweighs the bad. This school is rather unique, and is not for everyone, but your child can and will succeed here if they want to.”

“Awesome staff and teachers. Remember if your sick Doctors don't come to you or call you. So how about making it personal and going there yourself. This school run on a budget that is giving every year. So they make hard choices. So If you notice a class/program n staff missing that year is do to the budget cuts. So make an effort to become more aware and knowledgeable before saying rude comments. Participate so the school can stay open for future generations..you never know...one of your family members might need it. Be positive and strive for your dreams. God first!”

“I was a student here for 11 and 1/2 years. Every person's experience is different. Over the years the school changed a lot, and several teachers have come and gone. The high school curriculum is difficult, but as long as you try nobody really cares if you get A's or C's. The teacher are encouraging, and willing to help if you are having trouble. You just have to talk to them. With any school there are aspects you don't like, but my overall experience was great.”

“After two years of both of my children going to Sheldon Acres I feel like it is finally time to write them the review that they deserve. I first found Sheldon Acres on Yelp when I was stationed in San Diego and preparing to transition out of the Navy. I needed to find good child care for my children because I was going to be going back to school. What I ended up with was more than just "good child care." The staff over there have become an extension of my family and I never have to feel nervous or worried when my babies are with them. Mrs. Sarbjeet in particular has been helpful with my son who can have a hard time getting focused, and Ms. Stephanie has been great for my daughter who can need some extra love sometimes as she is a very sensitive little girl. My kids have even gotten so comfortable over there that my daughter has even been know to call Mrs. Susan, the program director, grandma! Everyone over there seriously always keeps me informed on how they are doing (academically, emotionally, behaviorally, socially) and every month I even receive a calendar with that month's lesson plan, as well as, a hand print or foot print art project. These few examples are really just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to how much time, effort, and dedication these people put into my kids. Bob and Susan truly go out of their way to make sure that the kids that are in their care are not only growing but flourishing. They have: A huge outside facility with swings, a play structure, play houses, and much more! (You will just have to see it to believe it!) Goats and bunnies! In class science projects (Watching caterpillars grow into butterflies and tadpoles grow into frogs) Holiday parties with children's recitals (Watching a room full of children sing Christmas songs seriously makes my year every time) They also offer additional programs and organize: Gymnastics Dance Soccer Swimming Lessons Parent's Night Out (From 6-11!) An annual field trip to Fog Willow Pumpkin Patch (My kids personal favorite) I cannot say enough how much we love this place and if you aren't sold yet then you will just have to go check it out for yourself!”
