Had a great time hiking with my family. Easy trail to walk
Lovely trail. It's nice to see some grassy hillsides here in the desert. The views along the ridge are well worth the short hike. I look forward to going on some longer hikes when I'm not burdened with a four-year old.
I am from The Savannah, Ga area so we don't have trails with elevation. For me this was a very enjoyable and new experience. I enjoyed the height and the views of the valley. The quietness of the area gave me a very peaceful and fulfilling moment.
Cool area but since it was my first time I took the wrong trail. I guess in the beginning there's like 3-4 trails. The trail I did you don't want to do. It ends in a canyon while the trail disappears and gets smother by bushes. Good areas for rattlesnakes to be nesting in. I was instructed by one of the neighbors that lives down the street by the trail head that at the very entrance to ride up the 1st mountain on the right while taking the trail from the entrance. That once I get to the top I will see the 1st trail. The other option is to just take the trail to where it forks off. NOT TO TAKE THE LEFT TRAIL because it ends. That was the trail I took. But to take the right trail where it forks off which goes up a steep hill that I would have to walk up but once at the top I will see the trail that I can ride that will take me to the top, etc. The sand and dirt is soft in this area but with the right bike tires it wouldn't matter. The neighbor said though the mountain at the entrance way before the fork I could ride that to take the top which will take me the first trail that connects to the main trail. Plan to go back soon to do this. I posted pics of the trail not to take.
