Hillcrest Lodge

One of the best experiences I've had at a hotel! Hillcrest Lodge has unique rooms (we stayed in the fish-themed room as opposed to a separate cabin) that are cozy and warm in the winter. Katey was very kind and made us feel very welcome at both reception and check-out.

The rooms are clean, the outside noise is very minimal, and the beds were some of the comfiest I've ever slept on. The location of the hotel is placed perfectly; close enough to "downtown" area in case you forgot to grab something at the Vons or would like a quick bite to eat, as well as far enough away that you won't be bombarded by the tourists and all the noise of downtown.

Couldn't have asked for a better stay, most definitely will be returning!

I had an excellent experience at this cabin rental. The accommodations were spotless, beautiful, and very peaceful. The manager was incredibly friendly and provided helpful recommendations for restaurants and hiking. I felt comfortable leaving my car there while out on a hike. I rarely give top ratings for a hotel, but this one truly exceeded my expectations. I plan to return in the future.

Our stay was fantastic! The couple that owns the lodge were so sweet & helpful. Katy recommend a lot of wonderful things for us to do during our stay. And mike helped us set up the fireplace. Over all we felt very welcomed!

So enjoyed my stay here. Such a nice change from your standard Hotel. This place is very unique and cozy. The rooms are all themed differently. People looking after the place are so nice and very accommodating. I came for a weekend event. It would have been nice to be able to stay longer here and explore the area. If I ever come back, which is suspect I will, I will definitely stay here again.

Love their cabins and the unique themes they have. Very clean and really loved the hospitality this family run resort offered. I believe I have now stayed here 3 times on my visits to big bear and it never disappoints. Save yourself a major headache and book with them on your next visit
