(July 19, 2021, 8:46 pm)If you can make the drive up the mountain I would recommend BBS. After a long haul from Vegas and up the backside of the mountain from Barstow it was a relief to pull in and get the warmest welcome we have had in sometime. We were greeted by a beautiful smiling young lady that checked us in. Once that was done we were given a gift bag with treats and ice cream. This doesn’t sound like a lot but after battling triple digit heat for weeks and fighting hair pin turns, switchbacks and ascending more than 4,000 feet in 30 miles this was just what we needed. The resort is really clean as are the facilities. The laundry takes quarters only. The pool and spa are open and very clean. There is no water access from the resort tho, water level is really low. I was on site 4, which was a little ran down but everything worked. Thank you Big Bear Resort for a great time and thank you for the hospitality.
